The SANIsealTM Hose Identification Solution

Saint-Gobain Life Sciences has resolved the challenge of hose identification with the SANIsealTM silicone label encapsulation system (Patent Number 6,660,396). This unique one-step system now allows the fabricator or end user to record information such as date of manufacture (DOM), lot number, process location, fabricator’s identity, part number or simply the telephone number to call for a replacement.

SANIsealTM allows the ability to combine labels with a system of color-coded bands for easy identification of hoses in bioprocess applications.

The SANIsealTM system enables easy hose identification and comes with easy to follow SOPs. The SANIsealTM field fabrication system is lightweight and very durable, able

to be used anywhere on site or within a fabricator’s facility. It not only saves time in identifying batches of hoses allocated to biopharmaceutical manufacturing suites but allows simple positive identification prior to production.

The curing cycle is fully automated and commences with the push of a single button. The machine can hold two separate molds, allowing fast changeover in hose production. In addition, the operator can inspect the pre-cured label and make final

adjustments prior to initiating the permanent encapsulation. All hose sizes up to 3” ID can be labeled with the SANIsealTM system.

Durable traceability

This unique system complements the Saint-Gobain platinum hose range, ensuring the very highest traceability standards are met. The SANIsealTM silicone label is designed to withstand multiple autoclaving cycles and the rigors of normal use. With the SANIsealTM system, all users can economically label their hoses to meet the regulations and traceability principles required in bioprocessing industries.
